Our students from Oakland Tech, Fremont High and Laney College were the only Bay Area youth group that performed a week of Parks’ festival. Opera Piccola, a non profit arts company, served the Bay Area from 1989 to 2011.. Oakland Tech HS student original theater
A student film created by teens from Oakland’s Carter Middle School and Oakland Technical High School in 2007. Opera Piccola’s ArtGate education program interns wrote and received grants for a three year project to highlight senior citizens’ issues through drama. Our students interviewed Oakland seniors and youth to create a short film about youth, ageing, and growing up.
